Meet David Butler

I became a lawyer to protect the rights of individuals and businesses, advocating for fairness, and making a positive difference in people's lives. I work with clients navigating their legal issues and finding solutions to their problems. 

I previously worked in New York City in the in-house legal department at a global asset management firm and in Toronto at a boutique civil litigation law firm. 

Prior to my legal career, I played professional hockey and successfully led start-ups from concept to financing to existence to survival to growth to success. I was featured in Profit magazine for launching an environmentally friendly start-up. 

Fully bilingual, in both French and English, I am able to conduct legal work and translations in both languages.

I am a dual licensed attorney, admitted to practice law in Ontario and New York. I have appeared before the Superior Court of Justice, Federal Court, Provincial Offences Court, Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, Landlord and Tenant Board and Small Claims Court.
